Job Summary
As a Senior Interior Designer at our firm, you will be essential in transforming our clients' visions into their dream homes. Your creativity, keen attention to detail, and ability to harmonize aesthetics with functionality will be crucial in delivering exceptional interior designs that consistently exceed client expectations. Candidates should demonstrate strong competency in interior design principles, customer relations management, sales, and overall project management.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with clients to understand project goals, requirements, and aesthetic preferences.
Develop creative and functional interior design concepts that align with the client's needs.
Design mood boards, color palettes, material selections, and furniture layouts to clearly convey design ideas to clients.
Select and specify furniture, fixtures, finishes, lighting, and decorative elements that fit within the design concept, budget, and project timeline.
Create detailed interior design drawings, plans, and specifications using appropriate software tools.
Liaise with vendors, contractors, and artisans to source materials and furnishings, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
Visit project sites to oversee progress, resolve design issues, and ensure the implementation matches the original interior design vision.
Offer expert advice on spatial planning, furniture arrangement, lighting design, and material selection to enhance functionality and aesthetics.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new materials, and innovative design techniques to consistently improve the quality and creativity of our interior design projects.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Cultivate a thorough knowledge of Tahoe Modern's product offerings to expertly assist clients in their selections.
Discover new, on-brand products suitable for our mountain modern portfolio, both online and at industry trade shows.
Collaborate closely with the design team to innovate and refine our design trends continuously.
Experience & Requirements:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or a related field. Will consider candidates without a design degree if they have 5+ years of experience at other design firms and strong technical skills.
Demonstrate proven expertise in residential interior design, supported by a diverse portfolio illustrating creativity, functionality, and attention to detail.
Proficiently utilize interior design software such as SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Chief Architect and other pertinent tools.
Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of design principles, color theory, spatial planning, and furniture design.
Exhibit a strong understanding of the Tahoe Modern brand and aesthetic
Display exceptional communication and presentation abilities, adept at conveying design concepts and collaborating effectively with clients and colleagues.
Show meticulous attention to aesthetics and a passion for crafting aesthetically pleasing and functional environments.
Manage multiple projects concurrently, adhering strictly to project timelines and financial constraints.
